#READY OR NOT CAST MOVIE#
Released just one month after Weaving's horror movie debut in The Babysitter, Mayhem sees her portray a completely different character. Even so, the movie is liked by fans of the original and it's notable to see Weaving and fellow rising scream queen Ortega share the screen, which they are set to do again in Scream VI. There's also the lack of Weaving, who only shows up in the climax and connects her relationship with Cole to the one she had with Phoebe. Reviews were mixed and it holds a low score of just 22 on Metacritic. While the movie hits on the fun aspects it promises, The Babysitter: Killer Queen is the only horror movie starring Weaving that didn't receive strong critical acclaim. Although the satanic cult and violence make this a horror film, it features comedic elements that keep it lighthearted throughout. Weaving doesn't appear until the end of the movie and gets redemption as she helps Cole and Phoebe, played by fellow horror movie star, Jenna Ortega, defeat the evil in the end. Set two years after the original, this film sees new characters resurrect members of a satanic cult and protagonist Cole (Judah Lewis) must again be the hero.

Scream VI will see several cast members from the recent reboot reprise their roles, including Melissa Barrera as Sam Carpenter, Jenna Ortega as Tara Carpenter, Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin, Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin. Sadly, their hopes will quickly be dashed when someone new begins sporting the Ghostface mask and tormenting them all once again. The sequel follows the four survivors of the Ghostface killings in last year’s Scream as they leave Woodsboro, hoping to start a fresh chapter in New York. Following last year’s requel, Scream, Radio Silence continue the slasher saga with Scream VI, which takes Ghostface out of Woodsboro and into New York City. As for what that next day is, I think we can safely say that it would be a chaotic, to say the least.”įilmmaking duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are currently plenty busy, with the pair now at the helm of the iconic Scream franchise. "I know we've talked a lot about it in terms of like the Terminator 2 model of Sarah Connor, nobody believes her kind of thing. I think we all have our own opinion," Bettinetlli-Olpin said back in 2019. "We've actually talked about it a lot and I feel like we want to let the audience figure that out for themselves.

And it would take inspiration from one of action movie’s greatest heroes. While a sequel has yet to materialize, the Bettinelli-Olpin has previously shared some ideas for a follow-up. Ready or Not was met with a hugely positive response from critics, who praised the movie’s subversive approach and Samara Weaving’s lead performance. The bride's wedding night takes a sudden turn for the worst when she finds herself at the center of a lethal game of 'Hide and Seek' and must fight her not-so-lovable in-laws for survival. Starring Samara Weaving, Adam Brody, Mark O'Brien, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell, Ready or Not sees the sanctity of marriage goes straight to hell when a young bride competes in a time-honored tradition with her new husband and his insanely rich and eccentric Le Domas family.
